My name is Shaista Mirza and I have been a state licensed daycare provider for over 22 years. My home daycare is located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood in Alexandria (near Old Town, Kingstowne and Telegraph Rd). I have two additional staff members that work with me full time. My staff and I are first aid and CPR trained, MAT trained, and are regularly taking continuing education child development classes.

Our daycare's primary goals are to support our children's growth and development through structured and unstructured learning, play, and socialization. We also work to incorporate Hindi and basic sign language into our daily curriculum. Play occurs both indoors and outdoors, in our large, fenced backyard. We provide three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, PM snack) but parents are welcome to bring in food from home. We accept newborns to under 3 years old.
